How do we understand the exhortation to "labor therefore to inter into that rest" (Hebrews 4:11)?
We discuss the doctrine of Rest, as explained in the opening verses of Hebrews 4.
Though Satan may desire to have believers in order to sift them as wheat, we have our Savior praying for us.
All things work together for the good of believers, the good being our conformity to Christ, as we see from Romans 8:28-31 and 2 Corinthians 12:7-9.
What is required to enter into God's rest?
Those who die in the Lord are blessed forever, they have eternal rest, and their service for the kingdom is rewarded.
What is so important about daily exhortation and encouragement?
To watch is to be awake, on guard, and prepared, as seen in Revelation 16:15.
Lacking knowledge of God's ways leads to unbelief and errors in heart.
Revelation contains the beatitude stating "blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein" (Revelation 1:3b).
Will we hear the Lord's voice, or harden our hearts and turn away our ears?
We find in Matthew 2 wise men led from the east, seeking a King, and desiring to worship.
